Archbishop Michael Jackson visit to the Diocese of Jerusalem

This week, Archbishop Michael Jackson (Archbishop of the Dioceses of Dublin and Glendalough of the Church of Ireland) is visiting the Diocese of Jerusalem. On Sunday, Archbishop Michael preached at All Saints Church in Beirut and met with the Arabic and English speaking congregations where he was warmly welcomed by Canon Imad Zourob and Revd David Roche. Following his visit to Lebanon the Archbishop visited the Anglican Parish of St. Paul's in Al-Ashrafiyeh, Amman, Jordan. Revd George Kopti welcomed the Archbishop who met with the congregation and some Iraqi, Syrian, and Egyptian refugees and listened to their life narratives and stories. Today, Archbishop Suheil Dawani and Dean Hosam Naoum, welcomed the Archbishop Michael and Revd Rob Jones in Jerusalem during a service and a workshop which was led by both visitors. The theme of the workshop revolved around the spiritual project of "Come and See Initiative". The congregation at St. Paul's and St. George's participated in this blessed endeavor where the spirit of celebration of the ministry was manifested in the partnership between the Church in Jerusalem and Ireland. Tomorrow, Thursday, January 18, canon Hatim Shehadeh will welcome the Diocesan visitors to St. Luke's Anglican Church in Haifa, where the Archbishop will lead another service in the theme of the Five Marks of Mission.
